Job Profile:  The Regional Sales Executive position requires an individual who is both a self-starter and self-motivated; someone who can identify, qualify, and convert sales leads into lifelong clients through their use of effective communications and strong building skills.

Additionally, this position requires an individual who can coordinate and monitor their sales activities and provide a roadmap towards reaching their sales goals and objectives.  As such the ability of this disciplined individual to work independently, and work well with support staff is vital to achieving individual and team performance.

A successful Regional Sales Executive is able to easily multi-task, is very organized, well prepared and always dependable.  An effective Regional Sales Executive is someone who grasps an understanding of employer and client objectives and seeks to exceed both the employer’s and the client’s expectations.

An individual with these skills will be both confident and competent in the role of Regional Sales Executive.

Sales Skills:

  • Identify, qualify, and solicit new clients in accordance with company goals and objectives
  • Build industry relationships that result in sales lead referrals and sales
  • Perform prompt, thorough and effective solicitation and follow-up through verbal, written and face-to-face communication
  • Develop professional relationships that result in the long term retention of clients by the company
  • Plan and conduct appointments (phone, online, face-to-face, etc) to develop an understanding of prospective clients’ needs in order to develop a successful sales strategy and to properly prepare winning sales proposals
  • Write and present proposals to prospective clients using professional communication skills and presentation materials, both created by you and supplied by the company
  • Maintain an ongoing understanding of the costs (labor, materials, equipment, etc) associated with production of events to create accurately priced client proposals
  • Participate in company sales activities to sustain your understanding of the company’s directives and resources
  • Participate in industry activities to promote the company brand and message to clients and prospective clients and to seek qualified sales leads
  • Maintain complete and accurate sales data and other records

Additional Skills:

  • Identify, qualify and solicit new clients in accordance with company goals and objectives
  • Monitor, encourage and drive solicitation and follow-up of sales team on a timely basis
  • Oversee the writing/preparing of proposals for prospective clients to ensure proper verbiage
  • Participation in industry activities to promote the company brand and message to clients and perspective clients, and to see qualified sales leads
  • Properly maintain complete and accurate sales data and other records relating to sales activities performed by yourself
  • Provide thorough and prompt sales progress reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Interface with co-workers and clients for the purpose of ensuring that client requests for information are fulfilled in a prompt and professional manner
  • Maintain proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce and other technology utilized in the course of your duties as Regional Sales Executive

Project Management Duties:

  • Responsible  for the planning and execution of client exhibit projects and trade show events
  • Manage all aspects of the exhibit and event project, from initial briefing to reconciliation
  • Maintain client liaison and ensure all required forms, information, and procedures are monitored and achieved throughout the project planning process
  • Work with the team to ensure adherence to our standards of operations
  • Be responsible for accurate and timely job file preparation, estimating and reconciliation of project costs
  • Create and closely monitor value adds at every opportunity
  • Be knowledgeable of best practice and new suppliers, services and venues
  • Be proactive with ideas and creative solutions
  • Provide support for other team members as required

Administration and General:

  • Assume responsibility for own environment, ensuring adherence to company and safety policies, while having clean, smart surroundings
  • Work intelligently and ensure that the Operations Managers are aware of problems or issues which negatively affect productivity
  • Build excellent relations with team and clients through positive communications
  • Ensure knowledge is shared within the team to enable them to work smarter and more efficiently
  • Work on ad hoc requests as required.
  • Experience working in the Trade Show and Event Industry a plus
  • Only candidates with strong admin and/or project management experience will be considered

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years project management experience
  • Intermediate project management skills, including: job costing, management and reconciliation
  • Experience in trade show, meeting and production management
  • Excellent supplier knowledge and negotiating skills
  • A good/advanced working knowledge of the MS Office Suite/Google Apps
