Tradeshow Training & Certification Gets Underway at T S CREW

Ask any seasoned tradeshow exhibitor how tough it is to find trained and professional I&D labor, and you'll hear a collective groan arise from the crowd. But one company, T S CREW, a division of TRADE SHOW SUPPLY, INC., is betting that you're not talking about their company.

Currently, T S CREW offers turnkey exhibit installation and dismantle service to trade show exhibit dealers and their exhibiting clients in five cities throughout Florida (Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, and Jacksonville). The company's growth plans include opening a West Coast office within the next 12 months.

"We've got fantastic people", says Orlando I&D City Manager Pete Griffin, one of those tasked with overseeing I&D operations. "And when your product IS your people, then training those people becomes the cornerstone of your business. Continuous learning is just a way of life here".

Every one of the TS CREW I&D technicians goes through a structured training program in 15 key areas. This curriculum includes instruction in areas such as customer service, trade show tool readiness, exhibit system product knowledge, trade show flooring, electrical service, audio-visual instruction, and general problem solving. We focus on what we call the "show floor deliverables". It's about making sure we are delivering the best EXPERIENCE possible to each exhibitor, in the cities in which we serve them.

Each installation & dismantle service technician becomes "certified" after completing the program, which involves testing and achieving better than an 85% average score in all areas combined. The program also requires over 100 hrs. of hands-on product time with each trade show exhibit system they are certified in, complete with documentation and verification by TS CREW instructors.

Trade show certification at our company is hard to achieve. It SHOULD be hard to achieve. It should not be something you achieve over a weekend of playing around with a few products in a warehouse. It comes after many hours of learning and experience, of doing things the right way...and sometimes the wrong way...until the proper and safe ways of building and repacking exhibit and display structures can be mastered.
